It's Not My Cup of Tea - Speaking Exam

Welcome Back!
Feeling nervous? Stomach full of butterflies? Lump in your throat? It's normal to feel this way. What's the British way of dealing with stage fright? Drink Tea!!! and lots of it.
While you enjoy your cup of tea, why not take on some other British habits.
This week (or for what is left of it) I challenge you to LIVE in English!
How?
  • Change you mobile phone menu to English.
  • Listen to English radio stations while walking or in the car. I reccomend  this one. https://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1
  • Stick post its around your house on objects in English to remind you of the more common vocabulary.
  • Watch TV in English - change the audio on programmes. Or online via here - https://www.filmon.com/tv/bbc-one
  • What are you doing now/tomorrow? Narrate your life. Even the silly little ones. For example, "I'm going to the fridge to get a drink"
  • Be creative. If you don't know a work talk around it, use synonims or use a different description.
  • Use an English to English dictionary. Stop translating!
  • People watch and narrate their life story, see below for an amusing example.
  • Talk to your teddy bears, your car, your dog or even talk to the wall! Yes, the wall. Just talk.
  • Want to know something? Google it in English.
English Challenge is on! and I'm nominating YOU to take part starting from..............

.......wait for it...............

NOW!

Ok, so now you are thinking in English we'd better revise the speaking exam format via this next video. I know that you've seen parts of it before. However, it contains great expressions which I would like you to revise.
Take notes writing the expressions down will help you remember them.

Next take a look at the video below presented to you by JENNY COOK! Yes, in this next video the examiners reveal what they believe makes a good FCE candidate.

And to finish some pronunciation Karaoke.

Just to inspire you further. Take a break and enjoy the wonders of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke with famous music artists. here's a great example with Bruno Mars.
