Welcome Back :)
It's the last week of training. (Ahh! I know, I'm going to miss you all too.) Although I'm sure that after the incredible amount of studying that you have done, you are really looking forward to the Summer break.
It's the last week of training. (Ahh! I know, I'm going to miss you all too.) Although I'm sure that after the incredible amount of studying that you have done, you are really looking forward to the Summer break.
Let's start with Listening Part 4. You will hear one speaker aswering questions about their life, studies or career.
Tips
- As soon as Part 3 finishes, turn to Part 4 and start reading the questions.
- Read the questions carefully. Underline key words that will help you understand what you need to listen for.
- Try to guess the answer before you listen, this will make you more curious. As the old idiom says "curiosity killed the cat" but here it will make you more interested in the answer ;)
- The answers are usually given using synonyms, so don't be too sure if you hear and exact word from the question.
- Always listen twice. Even if you thought it was easy. "Best to sure than sorry."
Also included in today's training is the official Cambridge Listening exam via computer. This is a practice test that is vital you try as it will help you understand how to use the programme involved in the exam.
Of course, Monday wouldn't be Monday without the weekly dose of Phrasal verbs. Take one a day and use it in context through your daily routine.
And finally, a 6 minute task that allows you to read, listen and learn new vocabulary. Yes, it's the BBC yet again with another of their wonderful articles.
Well, that's all for today folks!
See you tomorrow ;)
