Welcome back !
Time is running out as the weeks have flown by and your training is now in the final 2 weeks. (Only 1 for some!!!)
Let's start the week with Listening Part 3. This is the part in which you hear 5 speakers and you have to match 5 sentences from the 8 you can see on the left of the question paper.
Tips
- Read the question carefully and take notes or underline any keywords.
- Read each of the sentences also underlining keywords.
- Always listen twice even if you are 100% sure.
- If you can't decide between 2 sentences then eliminate the incorrect ones.
- Keep calm. If you don't understand 1 word then let the context of the conversation help you understand.
Now for the weekly list of Phrasal Verbs. Don't forget that these structures are used in almost every part of the exam, so do your best to learn them.
And finally, the wonderful BBC bring to you a fantastic opportunity to learn new vocabulary by reading and listening to a 6 minute article.
As we are in the last week/s of your training I highly recommend that you,
- Read as many of the BBC 6 minute articles as possible
- Do an exercise on Cambridges Write and Improve everyday
Keep up the good work.
See you tomorrrow :)
